What are your most popular sauces?
We have 8 signature sauces. Each is unique and represents a particular region of our BBQ country. St. Paulie Savory tends to be the crowd favorite! It is nice and mild yet savory and full flavored. If you're looking for a step on the sweeter side, then it would be the Memphis Sweet (the secret ingredient is chocolate), but if you're looking for just a little more robust flavor it would be the Kansas City Spice. Where do you cater? How far can you deliver?
We are licensed for off-site catering by the State of Minnesota. We can deliver and serve anywhere you can imagine! We partner with several locations across Minnesota as well as Western Wisconsin. Check out our Venues page for some ideas!
All of our food is prepared on site in the Rack Shack BBQ kitchen but are equipped to travel and serve up to 2 hours away to provide you that low & slow smoky barbeque!
Can you provide a fulfilling meal for vegetarian or vegan guests?
Of course! We have a great variety of plant-based protein options for you to choose from. All of our meats, sauces and rubs are gluten free as well as many of our side dishes. We can customize your menu items to accommodate almost any dietary restriction. Don't be afraid to ask if modifications can be made - no one walks away hungry!
Do you have your own service staff?
If you book us for an On-Site service package, we supply enough staff according to your guest count to fully set up the buffet, replenish the buffet while keeping your guests tables tidy, and to clean up afterwards.
Do you provide beverage services?
We do not have a liquor license, but would be happy to provide non-alcoholic beverages as requested.
Do you supply Plates & Utensils?
If you book us for an On-Site service package, we include high-end black plastic plates, forks, knives and napkins as well as buffet chaffers and metal service utensils. You can also upgrade to china and flatware for an additional charge.
For delivery or pickup orders, we do charge separately for the "plate service" which is a plate, fork, knife & napkin. The utensils are complimentary for the menu items as needed.
Can you supply Tables & Cloths?
We have our own banquet tables & black cloths for your standard buffet setup for On-Site service as needed. Many venues will provide the guest and buffet tables, but we're ready if they don't! We would also be happy to help make rental arrangements for guest dining tables, chairs, linens and even
Do you charge for delivery?
Yes. We have a minimum delivery charge of $5, but only charge $1 per mile (one way) to your event location. There is a minimum order amount of $175 for delivery.
Do you require a deposit?
For any On-Site service event, we do require a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold and secure your date along with a signed contract.
When is the final balance due?
We require a final headcount and remaining balance NO LATER THAN 1 week in advance of your event date. If you choose to do a payment schedule, we can arrange it!
What is your cancellation policy and what if there are unforeseen circumstances that postpone my event?
Once your deposit is made, that becomes non-refundable and will be retained by the company. If you cancel 3 months in advance or less, then 50% of the estimated quoted cost will be retained. If cancelled within 2 weeks, then 100% of the quoted food amount will be retained.
If there are acts of nature that prohibit your event from taking place on the date of your scheduled event, the Rack Shack will allow a reschedule for the full amount of the event within 3 months and according to available dates. If a reschedule cannot take place within that time, then the client will be responsible for 100% of the cost of food and scheduled staff.
